Oh My. This (Chinese 5 spice BBQ seitan sandwich was just too good! I used this awesome homemade seitan and the BBQ sauce was so yummy, sweet, sticky and five spicy! I adapted the bbq sauce from this recipe on Girls on a Grill. Chinese five spice is a such a wonderful spice blend and it’s available at the regular market too.

Seitan is loaded on a soft toasted wheat bun and topped with a tangy Asian slaw and fried onions, you have to try it. If you like this sandwich, we also love the BBQ Seitan w/ Spicy Sweet Coleslaw, similar, but without the Asian flavors.
