To Start A Blog

It is Sunday morning and suddenly I feel the need to start a food blog. It didn’t really start out that way. I got up, struggled through a workout video (I had a little wine last night), put milk in the milk foamer, showered, had my latte, and started looking up recipes for this Maharashtran dish called misal pav, my new recipe to tackle. Then I’m not sure what happened, but I started looking up how this blogging thing works, what is the etiquette of recipe blogging, can I just add a blog thingy to my old picture site, and so on.

A couple of hours later I sit here with a cut finger from peeling my finger along with a potato, I have tindora cooking in a little oil trying to burn itself despite my best efforts, I’m looking up my my mother in law’s Gujarati dal recipe, and I’ve started to peel potatoes because of a sudden craving for potato upma which I have never heard of but ran into on my misal search.

And I’m typing this…

I like to think that I am an excellent multi-tasker. But really, that is just not the case. With all these things going at once, it is no wonder that I am bleeding, burning things, and starving!

Anyhow, I did finally start the blog and finish the 3 dishes!
