Potato Subji"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fcbkbttn_button\">\n                            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">\n                                <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/facebook-button-plugin\/images\/standard-facebook-ico.png\" alt=\"Fb-Button\" \/>\n                            <\/a>\n                        <\/div><div class=\"fcbkbttn_like \"><fb:like href=\"https:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/green-bean-potato-subji\/\" action=\"like\" colorscheme=\"light\" layout=\"standard\"  width=\"225px\" size=\"small\"><\/fb:like><\/div><\/div><p>This green bean and potato subji is super simple and perfect for a weekday night.<\/p>\n<p>1 tablespoon oil<br \/>\n1 teaspoon cumin (jeera)<br \/>\n1\/2 onion finely diced (optional)<br \/>\n1 pound green beans chopped into 1\/4 inch pieces<br \/>\n1-2 small potatoes cut into bite-sized pieces<br \/>\n1 teaspoon tumeric<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon chili powder<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon garam masala<br \/>\n1 teaspoon coriander powder<br \/>\n1 tomato diced<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon ginger paste<br \/>\nSalt<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat oil in a medium sauce pan and add jeera.<\/li>\n<li>Once the jeera toasts a little, add the onion and brown it a bit.<\/li>\n<li>Add the green beans and potatoes and stir constantly over high heat to get them cooking.<\/li>\n<li>Add the powdered spices and stir for a couple of minutes longer.<\/li>\n<li>Add the tomato, ginger, salt, and a little water, lower the heat, cover and let the green beans and potatoes steam for a while, stirring occasionally.<\/li>\n<li>Once the green beans and potatoes are tender, remove the cover and dry out the curry a little.<\/li>\n<li>Serve with rotis and yogurt.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/indian-recipes\/green-bean-potato-subji\/attachment\/green-bean-aloo-shak\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2572\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2572\" title=\"Green Bean &amp;
