Vindaloo\u00a0has a touch of vinegar\u00a0which I love. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vindaloo\" target=\"_blank\">Here<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0a bit of history about the dish.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of times I try and eliminate extra steps, for example, if a spice is added in two different ways skip one way. This time I decided to follow the recipe, layering the flavors. It came out super tasty!<\/p>\n<p>Adapted from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naliniscooking.com\/2013\/03\/egg-vindaloo.html?m=1\" target=\"_blank\">Nalini&#8217;s Kitchen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Vindaloo Paste<\/span><br \/>\n1 1\/2 teaspoon cumin seeds<br \/>\n5 cloves<br \/>\n1\/2 piece cinnamon<br \/>\nA few dried red chilis<br \/>\n2 tablespoons coriander powder<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon turmeric<br \/>\n1 inch piece ginger minced<br \/>\n6 garlic cloves<br \/>\n2 tablespoons white vinegar<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grind together until smooth adding a little water if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Egg Vindaloo<\/span><br \/>\n6 eggs<br \/>\n2 tablespoons olive oil<br \/>\n1 teaspoon cumin seeds<br \/>\n3 cloves<br \/>\n1\/2 piece cinnamon stick<br \/>\n1 cardamon pod<br \/>\n8 black peppercorns<br \/>\n2 green chilis sliced lenthwise<br \/>\n2 onions chopped<br \/>\n2\u00a0tomatoes chopped<br \/>\nVindaloo paste<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Boil the eggs, peel and cut in half lenthwise.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile heat the olive oil in a saute pan. Add the cumin seeds. Once they start to brown add the cloves, cinnamon, cardamon pod, peppercorns and green chilis, and let them sizzle\u00a0for a few seconds. Then add the onions and cook down until browned.
