Go here for the recipe!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Oh my I love Pisco Sours. I am generally more of a beer and wine girl, but on a trip to Peru with my husband and sister in law, I saw the light. Pisco is a grape brandy and when mixed with the right ingredients becomes fantastic!\u00a0Unfortunately, I&#8217;m not having much luck buying Pisco in the US. From what I can find, you have to order it online, but then one order site said they weren&#8217;t shipping Pisco at this time, and another one gets held up when you try to add it the cart. Maybe I&#8217;ll try again some other time. Anyways, we did bring a bottle home, but it is all gone now :-(. The picture is one we took on our trip.<\/p>\n<p>There are many recipes out there for the perfect Pisco Sour and\u00a0<a title=\"Pisco Sour Recipe\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.veenasmarket.com\/2011\/05\/09\/the-perfect-pisco-sour\/\">this post<\/a>\u00a0includes a lot of fun information. I haven&#8217;t had enough of them (yet) to be really fussy about how they are made, but apparently making the perfect Pisco Sour is quite an art!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/peruvian-recipes\/on-pisco-sours-champinon-saltado\/attachment\/pisco-sour\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2655\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2655 alignright\" title=\"pisco sour\" src=\"http:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/pisco-sour-400x303.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/pisco-sour-400x303.jpg 400w, https:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/pisco-sour.jpg 632w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>3 parts Pisco<br \/>\n1 part sugar syrup<br \/>\n1 part lemon juice (fresh squeezed!)<br \/>\n1 egg whites<br \/>\nIce<br \/>\nAngostura Bitters\u00a0or\u00a0cinnamon<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix all of the ingredients in a shaker or blender until it gets really cold and pour into little glasses.<\/li>\n<li>Top with a couple of drops of Angostura Bitters or dust with\u00a0cinnamon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A couple of notes about this recipe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0You can make simple syrup by melting 1 cup of sugar in 1 cup of water, either on the stove or in the microwave. Make sure to let it cool before using!<\/li>\n<li>I love\u00a0cinnamon\u00a0on a Pisco Sour! I could have sworn the first one I tried was made in this way, but I don&#8217;t see it on any recipes.
