Baked spaghetti! I think the key to this dish is a fairly thick and rich sauce. A lovely fresh tomato sauce, while delicious, just doesn&#8217;t work here. Prego is perfect because it is a heavy and sweet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/italian\/baked-spaghetti\/attachment\/baked-spaghetti-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2289\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2289\" title=\"Baked Spaghetti\" src=\"http:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Baked-Spaghetti-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"764\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Baked-Spaghetti-1024x764.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayabugs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Baked-Spaghetti-400x298.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1\/2 package spaghetti noodles<br \/>\n1 tablespoon oil<br \/>\n1 onion sliced<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves sliced<br \/>\n1 jar spaghetti sauce (we are particular to Prego for this type of dish)<br \/>\nMaggi Hot &amp; Sweet Chili Sauce or ketchup and red chili flakes<br \/>\nSugar &amp; salt<br \/>\nCheddar cheese shredded<br \/>\nSour cream (as a topping)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Boil noodles according to package directions.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.<\/li>\n<li>Heat oil in a medium sauce pan.<\/li>\n<li>Add onions and cook for a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add garlic and continue to cook until the onions and garlic are soft.<\/li>\n<li>Add the spaghetti sauce, Maggi, sugar and salt to taste.<\/li>\n<li>Add the boiled spaghetti and stir.
