Veggie Meatball Sub

Easy and so satisfying, these vegetarian meatball subs really hit the spot. Everything is pre-made so it is easy to put together in a few minutes.

Per Sandwich
1 teaspoon oil
3 Trader Joe’s Meatless Meatballs (or make your own!)
1/2-1 cup favorite marinara sauce (one of our favorites is the canned Tuscana Marinara from Trader Joe’s)
1 hoagie roll
2 ounces mozzarella

  1. Heat oil in a skillet and pan fry meatballs on all sides. Or skip this if you’re in a real rush.
  2. Heat marinara sauce in a sauce pan. Add meatballs and cook for a couple of minutes.
  3. Open hoagie roll and top with meatballs and lots of marina. Top with mozzarella.
  4. Toast for a few minutes in a toaster oven or under the broiler until the mozzarella is melted and the hoagie is lightly crunchy on the edges.
  5. Indulge!
