Yogurt Chutney

This yogurt chutney goes amazing with rasam vada. It is a little sweet and tempered with urad dal, mustard seeds, green chilis and curry leaves. It is so addictive!

1 cup yogurt (thin out a little if thick)
2-3 teaspoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon urad dal
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 green chili chopped
4-5 curry leaves

  1. Mix sugar into yogurt.
  2. Heat oil in a tadka or other small pan and add the urad dal and mustard seeds. Once the dal is golden and the mustard seeds start to pop, add the chilis and cook for a few seconds, then add the curry leaves.
  3. Throw into the yogurt and stir.
